About Us
West Volusia Chorus is 30 + members; men and women from different backgrounds and chosen life paths; of all ages. We represent various tastes, perspectives and experiences with our common denominator being our love for Music and singing. The chorus is in its 49th year and going strong. Those years ago, a small group of music lovers got together one day and said, “why don’t we form a little choir?” The rest, as they say is “history”. They did form that little choir with the name Deltona Community Chorus.
As they grew, having members outside of Deltona, they became West Volusia Chorus. They have sung ever since, for varied groups (organizations) and churches throughout the four-towns and beyond. The chorus has enjoyed the services of several leaders over time, but, is ever so fortunate to currently be under the acclaimed direction of Amy Wagner and accompanied by Loida Ibarra.
